Last minute call out for one (Birmingham/West Midlands-based) professional male dancer and physical theatre practitioner for A Positive Life.
Autin DT are urgently seeking one versatile and skilled male performer for our young people’s project. Must be comfortable with character work and text. Experience working in unusual environments and close audience interaction preferable.
We particularly welcome applications from British dancers of Black, Asian and South Asian heritage based in Birmingham/West Midlands to join the Company for the rehearsals, performances and the delivery of the workshops between Monday 24 April and Saturday 15 July 2017.

Where: mac birmingham (Cannon Hill Park, Queen’s Ride, Birmingham B12 9QH)
Rehearsals are taking place at mac birmingham. This is a paid opportunity, and length of contracts are subject to funding. You should be able to attend all the following dates:
- Week 1: 24-28 April 2017
- Week 2: 1-3 May + 4-5 May 2017 (evening performances)
- Week 3: 11-13 May 2017
- Additional school workshops/performances dates (tbc): 15 May-15 July 2017
- Performances (confirmed): 5 June, 27 June, 3 July and 14 July

A Positive Life is an immersive theatre experience inspired by the interpersonal stories of five characters around sex, love and relationships. Featuring dance, physical theatre and spoken word, the original scenography of the piece and the elements of audience interactions will move you and transport you to the heart of the story. The piece runs for 50 minutes and is aimed at 11-17 year olds with an uplifting and engaging message on self-love, sexual health topics and sex ed’ stories.
