Alone/Together at U.Dance Digital Festival – Sunday 19 July at 6:30 pm

Our short dance film ‘Alone/Together’ has been shortlisted for the Choreography Challenge at One Dance UK‘s U.Dance Digital Festival 2020 and it will be shared on One Dance UK’s official Facebook page amongst other wonderful entries on Sunday 19 July at 6:30pm ‘Alone/Together‘ is a short creative response from the young male dancers of Man Made Youth Company to their feelings and states of mind while in lockdown and inspired by the online dance sessions as choreographic stimuli and support of their psychological and emotional wellbeing. “Despite being isolating at home, we’re still dancing together!”

Dance Insights: Johnny Autin 

    As part of DanceXchange’s Dance Insights Online programme, 2020 Artist in Residence Johnny Autin curated an exciting programme offering a unique insight into his creative inspiration. From Monday 25th May to Friday 7th June Johnny has been sharing a series of films and music that have proved inspirational, plus a presentation of his own work, Autin Dance Theatre’s ‘A Posi+tive Life‘ followed by a fascinating Q & A with members of the cast and the creative team. The programme included an enjoyable a Facebook Live discussion between Johnny and independent artistic director Orit Azaz.
