Autin Dance Theatre (AutinDT) is seeking 2 additional board members to help support its development and steer the company strategically into the future. We are also particularly looking for trustees with skills in finance & accounting, marketing, entrepreneurial skills and those working in commercial sectors.
AutinDT is an award-winning innovative and interdisciplinary touring dance theatre company, based in Birmingham (UK) and established since 2013 under the helm of Director/Choreographer Johnny Autin. The Company is a collaborative and project-based organisation that produces engaging and aspirational artistic performances for indoor, outdoor and unusual spaces, and provides an extensive learning and education programme in the community.
We are looking to build future capacity for the company including, a robust structure and governance, sound financial models to improve income streams and growth, and raise the profile of the company in building our audience development programme across the UK and internationally. The Board of Trustees has ultimate responsibility for the strategic direction, development and governance of the organisation.
As a Trustee, you’ll need enthusiasm, a passion for dance theatre and to be an advocate for the company. This will be a voluntary position. You will be expected to attend quarterly meetings (first one will be on 13th April 2021) and other sub committees, plus a few hours each month supporting the company’s aims.
AutinDT’s vision is to transform and enrich people’s lives through dance theatre experiences. Our mission is to inspire, educate and instigate positive social changes by delivering world-class multi-disciplinary arts activities.
We are particularly keen to from individuals from diverse backgrounds, especially from Black, Asian and Ethnically Diverse and under-represented communities to ensure we are reflecting a wide range of voices and experiences within our governance structures.
