Choreographic Commission in Tanzania – September 2020

    We are thrilled to announce that Creative Director/Choroegrapher Johnny Autin will be travelling to Dar es Salaam at the end of the month to take part in a newly commissioned multidisciplinary artistic residency with professional dancers, visual artists, filmmakers and designers from France and Tanzania. ‘Mawimbi – Shifting Frequencies’ is a creative exploration of the human vibrations in urban setting. Make Your Own Puppet @Home – tutorial videos are out! 

We have been busy over the last few months working with puppeteers, designers and a filmmaker on a FREE online puppetry and storytelling programme for children, young people and their families called ‘Out of the Deep Blue‘. The series aims to raise awareness of the climate emergency crisis and other environmental issues and features weekly, step-by-step tutorials making puppets out of recyclable materials and household items.
